I am a founding Principal at shuandi. I get to work with pretty cool people and organizations. I am the Chairman of the Allegan County Republican Party and sit on the State Committee of the Michigan Republican Party. I am a former Christian singer/ songwriter, and CBA Book Buyer with the Family Christian Stores chain. I received both an MBA and a BA in Business from Cornerstone University where I had the opportunity to study globalization and the changing world economy at the Chicago Board of Trade, the Chicago World Trade Center, and the Federal Reserve Bank. I have many passion’s: politics, fishing with my son, economics, a good cigar, leadership development, dinner a lone with my wife, history, writing, and a good run, among other things. Most importantly, I am saved by Grace. There are several topics that I gravitate toward and plan to examine on this website, including:
- Leadership - How to stop managing and become the best leader for your organization.
- Productivity – particularly best-practices and new technology that can be used or adapted for personal/ professional growth. I’m a former CBA Book Buyer and love reading so I hope to share books that I’ve read which have been great tools for me.
- Faith – In order to live a purposeful life one must first have purpose. Mine is based on my Christian faith, my relationship with God, and revealed through His Word. Discussing, wrestling with, seeking revelation, and worshiping God.
- Politics – I am a Christian, conservative (and Constitutional), Republican. The principles of the Republican party well fit with much of my worldview well. Not all Republican’s represent all of my values, but it’s the same with any other organization. As a Christian and an American, I choose to be engaged in self-governance.
- Personal Observations – Miscellaneous observations on topics that matter to me and don’t fit into an aforementioned category. It may include quotes that I’ve come across or a review of a book that I’ve just read.
My guest editorial on Michael Hyatt’s Intentional Leadership blog has been shared over a thousand times on social media sites & by email. Check it out here:
